It's been a bumper week of success for our wonderful government.
Yesterday we had 17 Lib Dem Council leaders and 71 local party heads complaining about the government's cuts to council spending. To join all the Tory and Labour councils having a moan at Assistant Knob Jockey, Eric Pickles, Secretary of State for Communities. Hurry up Flat Eric they need your help now!!!
"These cuts will have an undoubted impact on all frontline council services," they wrote. "Rather than assist the country's recovery by making savings to the public in a way that can protect local economies and the front line, the cuts are structured in such a way that they will do the opposite. "Instead of chastising and denigrating local authorities through the media, the government should deploy all its efforts to help councils minimise the impact on vulnerable communities and frontline services."
Earlier in the week we had Lord Wei of Shoreditch (who was given a Conservative peerage last year, together with a desk in the Cabinet Office as the BIG SOCIETY concept?s ?tsar?) announcing that he?s had to scale back his own voluntary contribution. He?s found out that working for free three days a week is incompatible with ?having a life?, seeing the family and paying the bills. You couldn't make this stuff up. Pity all the charities are getting hammered in the meantime.
And today we hear the government has been defeated in the High Court over the way it scrapped part of England's school building programme. Assistant Knob Jockey, Michael Gove, Education Minister was berated by the judge "In five of the six council cases, the failure to consult was "so unfair as to amount to an abuse of power", said the judge.
In addition, the planned sale of 15% of state-owned forests will be put on hold, ministers said, as they "re-examine the criteria" for disposing of them.
At least we have the changes to the NHS under Assistant Knob Jockey Lansley which are eagerly awaited by......
err...all the private sector.
Jesus, is no-one else in favour, BMA, RCN, General Practitioners, bloke who lives in no. 57?
So over to Chief Knob Jockey Cameron. At least the economy is doing well. ... Isn't it?
Cheers

It's all going according to plan

No. My psychiatrist on the ward tells me that it is good to take my mind off being the bastard son of an illegimate relationship between Stalin and Eva Braun.
Have a good weekend.
