Pornstars who quit and then condem the industry -

Hi Guys just been over on Twitter and see that @rayveness has quit porn (but doing one more shoot lol) and implies in her tweets that porn is corrupt and immoral and that the use of the word milf is unacceptable as she feels it involves children!!!

Other than her tweets about finding certain themes tasteless (fair enough entiteled to her opinion) I see no evidence or talk of any actual bad experiences.

Looking at later dates I then see she is selling a book about her porn life. Perhaps I am being cynical, but does it appear to anyone else that this is a publicity stunt to publicise her book? If so it is unfair to criticise an industry that has paid you well, just for cheap promotion.

I don't mean to start any kind of attack, merely a discussion. And of course if she truly has suffered or starred in films that jeapardise minors I empathise deeply with her....though of course she could have always walked off set and refused if she genuinely thought the scenes were too disturbing and potentially harmful.

Any thoughts?

I doubt if she is saying minors have been jeopordized by any of her work, rather she doesn't like the use of the word 'mum' in MILF. It is the association of the word Mum with porn she finds difficult. Personally I think of the term as meaning Mature I'd Like to F..

It's also funny how many of them quit and rave about how awful their time in porn was, then 3 years later they're back into it twice as enthusiastic as ever.

Has the name Shelly Lubben come up anywhere in association with her Kaz?

Been listening and watching some podcassts on itunes that are so full of shit it makes me puke.

I never did understand girls spending years inthe porn biz doing hundreds of scenes then turning around to say what an awful time theyve had.

At what point did they ralise it was sucha shit business? porbbaly when they have spent all the money up their nose and have nothing to show for it then the relaity kicks in that the work has dried up then they feel all used and abused

It was ok when the money was coming in though

Shelly Lubben was doing porn for 8 years before she saw the light and traded porn in to let Jesus into her life. Now she blabs and cries how awful porn is and that it is killing people inside and producers are all scum and evil and need saving too because they are "hurting inside too"

I got news for Shelly Lubben...The whole worlds hurting and they all dont do porn for a living

Thing is, its hard to argue for other people with regards this and maybe Shelly does feel she has suffered. personally I think she has found a new gig to make money in the guise of saving her fellow porn brothers and sisters

People should understand that porn in itself is not bad. These people were damaged goods before they even came into it.

The fact they spend all their time trying to make the consumer feel bad for watching it and thereby supporting the misery smacks of serious double standards to me and that is typically american I find.

As for the anti porn squad in general, if they werent making money from what they were doing they wouldnt give a shit. We all know americans love the mighty dollar and it it dont make dollars it dont make sense

Just had a look. Just as I thought. She's banging that old Jesus drum and guess what? Shes working on a book too!

Always good to leave the porn industry and write a book. Has a lot more credibility if you renounce it and find "Gard" Theres a whole market for that book in americas bible belts who will see it as a cautionary tale to scare their kids with but ultimately drive them in to it in much the same way as drugs and alcohol.

I reckon Alan Sugar would be impressed with this business model!

Telling you, the born again card its the way for them to put their nose up in the air and look down on everyone else. They can draw a line under that part of their lives and say that was a different person. AS I`ve said before, if they`re that ashamed of their porn past they should give away all that filthy money that they made from sin.

I think it speaks volumes for the "intelligence" of these models. They spend years in porn then quit and all of a sudden it's now a bad thing.
They're either dumb as shit or mad genius types with books coming out. :)

If you're asked by anyone to do or take part in something you find morally abhorrent on a porn shoot, you don't do it. Plain and simple. You don't do it then years later say it was awful.
There are plenty of creepy exploitative people in the industry, just like all industries. But you don't have to work with them and probably shouldn't.

Since her website insists there are are 4.2 million porn websites -
which seems rather high to me - I mean if I view 20 a day I will be dead
before I see half of the interesting stuff out there..... anyway, if she is
right, and there really are 4.2 million porn websites, I`d say she has a
bit of an uphill task !!!

On a more serious note, NO ONE can enter the porn industry and not
expect boyfriends, or family, or loved ones to find out, no one who is
a performer can expect never to encounter othyer sex partners who are
- frankly - not as clean as you. Nor various psychological and emotional
stresses ! All this shit comes with the job.
But to grab the money - or in Ms Lubben`s case - admit a lifetime of
living on the edge, and then blame it all on LESS THAN ONE YEAR IN
THE PORN BIZ is hypocrisy of the worst kind. She is a mixed up religious
nutter, plain and simple !!!!
