Presumably ITV will now follow suit and sack the entire panel of "Loose Women", given that it's now deemed unacceptable for a TV personality to make "sexist comments" about the other gender?

Or is this more of the same old politically-correct shite whereby it's only "sexist" if a woman is on the receiving end?

I don't watch Sky Sports and have no strong opinion about Andy Gray one way or another.

But thought-policing and double standards really make me gnash me teeth.

It's Andy Gray. And he's hardly a Man Utd lover.

I remember the Champions League Final in Moscow between Chelsea and Man Utd. Tevez took the first penalty and Andy Gray was silent. Ballack steps up and Gray says "Good luck, boys".

To be fair, he may have just wanted a different team to win it, since Chelsea never have.

Oh, and they should fuck Keys off as well. Andy Gray at least has the excuse of being a working-class footballer from the 70s and 80s. Keys is the professional journalist that's been on our screens since the early 80s and should know better.

Get rid and freshen it all up, I say.

Andy Gray was the reason that football is big on Sky. He is Sky Football. He is the best commentator ever and i for one am seriously considering getting rid of Sky Sports because of this. He is the only one that talks sense & actually know's what he's talking about. And the last word is class!!! Listen to him and Martin Tyler they are the best pundits in the business. It's not the same with Alan Smith on it.

I for one totally agree that women regardless of how sexist this sounds. Don't know that much about football. That's not a blanket statement. Obviously there are women and girls who know about football, are genuinely into the game and know what they are talking about. But there are definitely women who, literally don't have a clue. Having said that Gray & Keys should have known better and not allowed themselves to be put in the situation. But the comments were never broadcast or seen by anybody. They only came to light when a Sky Insider reported it to the press?

I think it was Jamie Redknapp, sabotaging Gray to get his position. Obviously hearing that Thomas Cook were going with Jamie and Jools Oliver for their new add campaign!!!

About which part?

have you ever watched the football without Andy Gray? You enjoy it the same? You don't think he is a good commentator? Or that he is fair & unbiased? And genuinely knows what he is talking about?

Or you don't agree that women don't know about football? Or that saying its a woman linesman running today someone better go down and explain to her the offside rule was just a bit of banter?

or maybe when i said i was going to return my Sky Sports package? Maybe that is a huge over-reaction? But isn't Sky sacking Gray not an over reaction? If that makes me off my trolley what does that make Sky?

I'm glad Andy Gray has been sacked... his comments ruined any enjoyment I may have got from watching games. Can't stand Richard Keys either, so I hope he gets shown the door too.

I disagree about Gray being the reason why football was big on Sky. The reason was a plethora of live games every week covered by more cameras (from different angles) than ever before, which made BBC and ITV coverage look mundane. Sky invested heavily in football, to such an extent it strangled any coverage on the terrestrial channels, in order to entice people to sign up to their services.

Andy Gray was a cock from day one and should NEVER have been allowed near a microphone as a commentator/summariser in the first place

Fucking amazing, they made these comments off air. Watch your back, the thought police are about.
How come these two get shitcanned for comments made off air but the fuck dyke on BBC made comments about a jockeys teeth and thats ok?

if sky sports customers had any balls they`d cancel in their droves in protest.
