Ed Vaizey to Block all Porn sites

Ed Vaizey is hurriedly putting together a Communications Bill that will force ISPs to Block all Porn sites in the UK. There is an "opt in" which one can have by phoning your ISP and telling them you want porn! Obviously no-one is going to give their name to Big Brother...

What about extreme horror, violence and gore? Death murder and bloody mayhem?
Presumably that's all still perfectly okay, and children only need to be protected from seeing images of tits, bums, fannies and cocks.
Ah well, at least the children will be safe. And it's "all for our own good" I suppose. I'll sleep sounder tonight now, knowing that the government is looking after us and protectinbg us from ourselves.

Stop moaning Mike. You trumpet how wonderful Clegg and the Lib Dems are. They are part of the government are they not that may be bringing in this law?

The last attempt to do this in December was met with a massive yawn by the Coalition and the ISP's. They already operate an "opt in" for mobile phones and personally I think it would be great, because it will give us pornographers some notoriety again and get rid of 10,000,000 adolescents with no means to pay for anything and millions of freebie hunters, all in one go, so bring it on!! lol
The actual paying punters will have no problem opting in. Anyway, that's just my opinion.

I think the government will allow this but it will only encourage the paying punters to just get it from the torrent sites where there is no restriction to opt in
Hell, little Timmy and his mates in their treehouse can download porn with pretty girls getting throttled by grunting hairy backed men while ramming base ball bats in the butts of said lovely young ladies so the likes of Gail Dines can blame the evils of this kind of porn on dodgy producers like us who are to blame for why young boys like little Timmy and his pals growing into men and being so sexually inadequate they cannot form intimate relationships with females of the opposite sex because they are turned on by hairy backed men grunting....
Oh sorry I was on one then. Try saying that whole paragraph really fast like that Big Mac ad in the 80's
Two all beef patties and special sauce (yeah, that one) say it really fast and Ill give you a free dvd link downloadable from a torrent site near you !happy!...Allover the world from Sunday

No, there is an important difference, New Labour would have grabbed the chance with relish, at the chance of collecting information on everyone, because they were trying to introduce a brutal police state in the UK. The Coalition aren't, that's the difference.
Also, even more frightening, is that New Labour would have compiled lists of people who enjoyed heterosexual porn and designated them as being "Undesirable". BGAFD would certainly have been banned!
Naturally all gay, lesbian and disabled porn would have been encouraged and probably attracted government grants for studios, lighting etc etc.
