I appreciate that your remark was ironic Jim....without remotely defending
Blair, Bush and their decidely dodgy motives for declaring war, I would
just point out that their notes saying secret - I suspect they will have a
100 years embargo - is quite normal in matters of war. Matters
involving British Intelligence involving war plans, not to mention still
living persons, almost always get a 50-100 years embargo.
As an example, details of who were shot for cowardice and the reasons
why during the 1st World War were embargoed until just a decade ago
- 70 years !

Further to my last blog, I just stumbled over the fact that - as an example
of secrecy - the notes regarding the execution of Nurse Edith Cavell by
the Germans in Belgium in 1915 were only released in May 2002 - an 87
year embargo !!

I know that I don't pretend to understand the history, semantics and protocols of corrupt warmongers and bastards hiding their blunders from the parents of their needlessly murdered sons, for generations . But, in this day and age and bearing in mind, the fact that we all know that Iraq was invaded because of Blair's psychotic thirst for blood and glory and Bush just wanted to make $Billions for him and his Wall St pals; it's a bit like arresting the Yorkshire Ripper standing over a body whilst holding a knife and then when it comes to court not being able to either look at the evidence or cross examine the suspect.
In other words it's a lousy whitewash as usual. Just because these "Communications" have remained secret in the past, doesn't mean they should continue to be hidden now.
Hang Blair and Hang Bush for war crimes sod a trial, just get on with it!
But then I'm an old softy!

Perhaps Jimbo I could suggest you drop a line to the Cleggster? Apparently he is very hot on civil liberties, human rights and unnecessary laws.
Please let us forumites know how you get on.
Thanks
David

Clegg's likely to do more than that bunch of Marxist PC dictators that were running the country before!
Marxist?

Marxist? Really?
I'll drop a line to Fidel Castro to see if he fancies amalgamating with the Labour party.
Cheers
