Film noir set in Italy on the Beeb.
The plot can be a bit clunky but it's cool as fuck. Well to someone who lives in Blackpool anyway!
I think its available on the Iplayer.
Worth a watch.
Cheers

Yeah, initially that was a bit of a surprise but rather English accents than the whole cast trying to speak English with a cod Italian accent.
I remember it worked ok with Kenneth Branagh in the crime thriller Wallander set in Sweden.
Sewell, the guy who played Zen, certainly looked Italian with the sharp suits and . And as for Caterina Murino, the Italian Bond girl in Casino Royale, "Ciao Bella"

An Italian friend tells me that a lot of Italians speak English and like to learn it. Not so much down South though.
Like us in Sussex don't speak Scouse or Geordie.

Sometimes in the movies and TV you need to take a leap of faith.
I never wanted to watch Zen, caught one episode and loved it, well worth watching.

I agree, I didn't fancy it, but gave it a watch and really liked it. I don't like Wallender though, it's just too dull and Swedish for me.

I like it. The female lead is stunning. My female colleagues are frothing over Rufus Sewell. Could be the new Van der Valk (cue classic theme tune!).
