The Archers

Does anyone actually listen to this programme? Never met anyone who is a fan but I live 'Oop North so that might explain why.
Yes, I listen to the Archers and have done so for around 25 years on and off. Not always able to catch during the day or evening but do try and get up to date with the omnibus edition on Sundays (then spend the next 30 mins or so with Kirsty Young and her guest on Desert Island Discs).
Its not an age or a home counties thing, in in my late 50's and live in South Staffs, but have nephews and nieces in Hull and Cambridge who also listen.
I don't watch soaps on TV as in most case's I'm appalled by the character's, thats not to say that all the people in the Archers are my ideal people - I'm sure any other listerers would agree that Brian and Kate Aldridge plus David Archer could do with a slap, and that Pip, Phoebe and Susan could all do with a good shake. For all of you that don't listen......you can wake up now.
