Small amends in Ireland

With Fianna Fail facing obliteration at the polls next month, Brian Lenihan, Ireland's finance minister appears to be about to make some small amends for the collapse his government presided over. Unable to legally prevent the payment of bonuses in the banking sector, he is slapping a 90% tax rate on them, and at the same time is calling the bluff of those Cassandras who say the traders will go elsewhere with their 'talents'. I rather think we should stand up to blackmailers this side of the Irish Sea as well.
