Unemployment was rising under labour too, the trend is just continuing.

Hard to blame this government, they were not the cause, however they are not helping, and are no where near a solution.

"Unemployment was rising under labour too, the trend is just continuing."

Yup in the worst global recession in a generation you would expect unemployment to have gone up.

But the latest increase is against trend i.e. it is the first time the unemployment figures have gone up in 6 months.

Why? Two main reasons
1. The Labour government's measures to try and mitigate the worst of the recession have worked through the system.
2. The Lib Dem Con government's measures are doing what everyone including the government kniew would happen - result in large number of public service job losses. There was an increase in unemployment of 35,000 and a decrease in public sector employment of 33,000.

Alas and alack this is something that the Lib Dem Cons argued wouldnt happen. They believe that the huge job losses predicted in the public sector will be offset by the private sector taking up all the slack.

It aint working yet even with these, as yet, small numbers of public sector redundancies.

Neither the last government nor so far this one have made job creation or even retention a priority.

If it was they would
- genuinely encourage businesses not burden them with rules and taxes.
- not have transferred MOD sock contract from Hall's of Hinckley to China.
- have at least intervened in an attempt to keep LDV vans open
( we have numerous couriers deliver to work and most have VW, Merc,
Peugeot, Toyota etc vans. AFAIK apart from specialist vehicles by Dennis
the largest UK produced commercial vehicles are Transits at Southampton )
- ensure new trains are UK built with predominantly UK sourced components
not supplied by Siemens and possibly soon CRSE in China.
- where industrial sites are redeveloped insist the first priority is
manufacturing before a change to offices, retail and / or residential.

"Unemployment is a lagging indicator, 6 to 9 months so this increase is the result of Labours economic mismanagement."

Wrong. You are misinformed.
The rise in the number of jobless was almost entirely driven by the public sector, where employment fell 33,000, according to the ONS's latest monthly labour market report. This is directly the result of the Lib Dem Con's measures to hammer the public sector where the cuts are front loaded.

"35,000 over 3 months is also small fry relative to the doom mongering predictions of Messrs Johnson and BlanchFlower... (whitepansie ?) "

Wrong.
Not small fry if you lose your livelihood and potentially the roof over your head. You aren't Lord Young in disguise are you? Secondly you are wrong about the doom mongering. The government is relying on private sector job creation to offset an estimated 330,000 public sector redundancies over the next four years due to government austerity measures. This is the government's own estimates, so there are many, many more redundancies to follow.

"Apparently 2.2million unemployed under Labour is ok nobody gives a shit,"

Wrong.
Provide one link to where I have said that we can ignore this or that anyone in the Labour government said that.

"What would be your solution Mr Johnson ? Would you create public sector jobs just for the sake of giving these people an income ?"

You clearly misunderstand the nature of the public sector v. the private sector. Many contracts e.g. schools building work whilst funded by the government are carried out by the private sector. The private and public sectors are very much interwined.

The Lib Dem Con government approach has been to:

1. Terrify the population into accepting huge cuts far and away above what the CIty boys demanded, by talking down the economy. We are on the brink of collapse etc etc. We are just like Greece etc etc.
2. Destroy large sectors of the public sector by cutting far quicker than Labour would have.
3. The result of steps 1 and 2 is that consumer confidence has crashed since this government got in.
4. Argue that the private sector will take up the slack of the hundreds of thousands of jobs going from the public sector.
5. 4 is clearly bonkers because many many businesses are still unable to get finance to expand. Secondly we are part of a global business environment and many of our key export countries e.g. Ireland are in a worse state than we are.

In short I would have liked to have seen the Labour government do what they said they would prior the election i.e. cuts but on a slower basis in order that the gradual recovery seen under the last period of Labour government was not destroyed.
