Hi,
Couldnt believe this story I read in left wing nutter newspaper, the Telegraph.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newsvid ... guage.html
A 20 year old scumbag student protestor who takes advantage of the fact that he has cerebral palsy and is a wheelchair user is ALLEGEDLY, according to bleeding heart newspaper, the Telegraph, videoed being dragged out of his wheelchair by a bunch of policemen defending our liberty to be able to sit in a wheelchair on a bridge in central London.
As far as I can see the scumbag student has thrown himself out of the wheelchair and is clearly dragging himself along the ground.
What do forumites think about this outrageous bit of play acting by scumbag students?
Cheers

Oh for someone there with a bit of videoing ability when these things happen, as obviously when its the police who are accused of something the level of proof required to get the IPCC/CPS to move is very high.

Clearly, since the clip below didn't even result in a charge of common assault as I recall. The system seems very much weighted against getting police convictions.

Wot me? Wouldnt even attempt it not having been on the 3 year BA in Irony and Humour paid for by the taxpayer.
Would you Adam and Eve it, but I've just seen the same clip on that home of left wing nutters, Newsnight! Apparently, the clip will be reviewed by the police's own professional standards authority. Waste of bloody time if you ask me.
Let's face it Max, people with cerebral palsy jerk around quite a bit of the time and those kind policemen were just trying to help the unfortunate student when he ended up out of his wheelchair. Medals they should get I tell you, medals!

Tell you what, come the first wheelchair using, god-bothering, self-righteous suicide bomber and the gloves will be off.

Too right Andy. Society has been far, far, too easy going on wheelchair users. Most of them are only in a wheelchair to get sympathy and extra benefits anyway.
This coalition is spot on with these new tests for availability to work. Its about time this government put an end to people choosing disability as a "lifestyle choice".
Merry Xmas

I dont know what a man in a wheelchair is doing at a student protest anyway.
Its always best to assume something is going to kick off big time and its always the wheelchair bound person who gets it in the neck big time, run over, stomped on, bricked..all for obvious reasons
In the thick of battle, judgement is clouded and I'm not condoning the acts of the police involved but its easy to have a laps of judgement and hit someone you shouldnt.
Just last christmas the wrong person was punched in the face for queue jumping and died there and then in a queue in Sainsburys after minding his own business.
Shit bad luck is what it is but it all could have been prevented.
They dont even let wheelchair bound people in certain places because of emergencies so what the hell was he doing at such an event anyway?

If he was dragged from his wheelchair and given a good kicking by the police, at least he wasn't being discriminated against, presumably he was excersising his democratic right to protest, and the plod were excersising thier right to give people a good shoeing at will, he should think himself lucky he wasn't trying to escape into a tube station.
I could be wrong but...

Call me an old fashioned liberal softie, but last time I checked I dont think the police actually have a right to 'give people a good shoeing at will'.
