The police say that the student protesters "failed to stick to the agreed route"... to be fair, so did the Lib Dems!!!

I think this riot has shaken the establishment to their roots because if the Royal Family like Prince Charles and his old floozy cant be protected then who can !wink!

Very good, Bob!
THe only thing I find surprising is that people are surprised by the riots.
Hopefully this is a wakeup call to the Lib Dem Cons that they have no mandate whatsoever for the extremist policies they are introducing.

I'm very angry about people scaling the Cenotaph. Apparently the son of Pink Floyd frontman David Gilmour was one of those who scaled it, and has today apologised.

It was like the Russian revolution all over it again it was. I'm all for the students kicking up a stink and had reservations about the attack on Charles and camilla but the students only beat up the car so thats ok.
If they hauled them out and kidnapped them that would be another matter but its good to see the students have some fire in their belly...its like the 60's
UP THE REVOLUTION!!!! STUDENT UNION POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!!

I'm sorry but I have no sympathy whatsoever with these rioters. I don't mind protests but these have degenerated into anarchy.
I have long held the belief that the state has a duty to provide the doctors , scientists, engineers and others descending from those disciplines for the benefit of the nation. This means that the taxpayer pays for their university fees if they are good enough to be selected for their degree training.
The present objectors are saying that education is a right and not a privilege. They are correct, education is a right for all. They are conveniently overlooking that further education is not a right but a privilige and must be paid for.
Anyone who wants to spend 3 or 4 years studying how to platt fog or learn media studies or how to make leather sandals for lesbians should pay every penny of the course fee. The simple reason being that not one member of society will ever benefit from any of these so called "students"
I think that these "students" should count themselves lucky that they are here in the UK and not in France or Germany or China because the Gendarmes there would shoot them.

When you hear people bleating about anarchists and troublemakers instead of the issues that drew the protesters to the streets you know that the demonstrators have a point.
I don't think any of them would have been on the streets if the LibDems had the integrity to honour the commitments they were elected for. Given the stupidity of the coalition I expect more of the same to come not just from students.
The attack on Chas and Camilla was an interesting sidebar I don't think we will see the gates of Buckingham Palace stormed for a while.
