This still makes me smile, I'm sure someone could write a hilarious one-off play based on this story!

I'm sure they've got form when it comes to not giving what we could call the full visitor satisfaction experience. Weren't the police called last year or the year before?

What? Was Lapland around even before the scandal broke? No!, "Elves smoking roll-ups" and "Brawling" had me in stiches !laugh!

There's something not quite right about this as well...

Yeah, the copyright logo at the bottom is odd as well, "British National Party Supporters?" maybe on a day out visiting Santa's Grotto? !confused!

That's a bloody funny article Mr Slip.

I remember spending $28AUS (about 17 GBP) to get into a 'motor show'. Once I had paid my money and gone inside I realised that there were more interesting cars in the public car park outside. None of the attendants had any idea about the cars they were representing and the 'promo girls' were so ugly I had to look away. One of them was walking around stuffing a hamburger down - and she really didn't need any more hamburgers.

The only bright point was this young dudes girlfriend who had one of those tops on that was just two strips of fabric running vertically down to just cover her tits. At least she was something interesting to look at and left the promotions girls for dead.

I asked one car rep for a brochure on one of their cars and he curtly told me to "Go an' see a dealer!"

For some reason the motor show was cancelled the following year.

Lovely story ! Warms the cockles of my heart to know that good old
Britain can be relied upon to come up with a dump like this....and mugs
are mad enough to part with 25 quid to enter ! One of my favourite
movies is "Bad Santa" with Billy Bob Thornton peeing his Santa pants
while growling at the brats and scaring them shitless ! But even the
makers of that mirthful tale, especially Santa`s superbly foul-mouthed elf,
would be hard pressed to beat this scenic and oh-so-inviting British
version of Lapland !
Its comforting to me, living abroad, to know that when my fellow Brits
intend to rip people off (other Brits of course), they do it with such
brazen intent !!
