So local government takes a hit of 27% cuts, another 7 billion cut from welfare to add to the 11 billion taken out in June.
And the bank levy? 0.04% raising 2.4 billion - about the same as the loss of child benefit for higher tax rate payers.
Mark Hoban the Finance Minister when questioned about this seeming disparity betwen how the banks have been treated compared to the middle class/poor etc responded that the government had to be careful in how they treated the UK banks because they could go "offshore" if they chose.
"Go offshore" an option presumably that a housebound old age pensioner who may get her care package cut, hasn't got.
