I watched the film 'Ali' last night on Channel 5. It stars Will Smith as Ali and it is a brilliant film. Anyone who hasnt seen it I highly recommend it. At the end of this movie you are left feeling that Mohammed Ali is without a doubt one of the greatest people to have lived, anywhere in the world, in the last 100 years. Anyone else seen the film and what did you think of it, and of the man in general?

If he's one of the greatest people to have lived, you really ought to spell his name correctly. It's Muhammad Ali.

He was much more than just a boxer, he did a lot for the Civil Rights cause and for black people in general during the 1960's. It has also been said that he had white racist people in a real dilemma as even they found it hard to regard Ali as someone inferior to them. He was, and still is, an amazing man.

Ali is an amazing man but I think he was badly used by the Nation of Islam. If he'd stayed in boxing for those 3 and a half years he lost he would've been the best boxer who ever lived and still been able to retire without the tragedy of him ending up brain-damaged.

Ali is one of the few Hollywood films where the actor isn't as handsome as the guy he's playing.
