Hilarious defending. I feel a little smug in that a lot of people were hammering Ferdinand before the world cup and I've been smirked at for stating he was our best defender by miles.............and miles.

Terry letting the ball sail over his head for the first goal was awful, and both Terry and Upson being dragged to the left wing for Germany's second even more. Then we just get hit on the break which takes advantage of our lack of pace at the back.

Unlucky with the disallowed goal but we should have been 4-1 down already at that time.

We'll have headlines ripping into certain players and the manager but like I've said already, it's the FA we should be asking questions about.

I'll ignore the Donkey Lashers comment lol

Let's just hope the goal that never was isn't used as an excuse to justify that crap!!

Reality is they were shit and were shit in every game, even the one won, after Fabio's comments I'd call for his head but in truth massively under performing players, along with him and tactics used, are to blame.

Credit to the Germans but even Ghana would have done it with the mindset the players had.

Says it all when an England v Germany game only has 1 booking and it's for the Germans.

Just hope now the morons stumbling around pissed up and sun burnt don't go to far "coz we were fukin robbed"

As I keep saying, England have average players at best.

People have to stop believing the hype rammed down our throats by Sky and certain parts of the media that the English Premier League is the best league in the world and our players amongst the best in the world.

The EPL is fast and furious and, on the whole, entertaining to watch because of the helter-skelter style of football being played... but that doesn't make it the best league. The best league is one where players can retain possession, where defenders understand positioning, where playmakers exist (how many genuine playmakers in the EPL? Not many and certainly none that are English).

Sky's money has produced a generation of averagely skilled multimillionaire players. What a shame all that money has gone to waste when it could have been better used in football academies where skills are taught above winning.

There needs to be a major shake-up of the FA. A new manager who has more than just a Plan A has to come in, and hopefully all players over the age of 26 who were part of the squad (and pre-squad) dropped and younger, hungrier players, brought in with a view to the future.

"But how to make Liverpool economically prosperous? If only there was some way for Liverpudlians to profit from going on and on about the past in a whiny voice."

Sheffield Wednesday reserves would have played with more passion, nous and positional sense than those twats today.

I just couldn't believe what I was watching with some of that defending (and I use the term "defending" in its loosest sense).

The Germans played well but let's face it, England were shambolic almost from beginning to end.

Assuming that Argentina beat Mexico later on, Germany v Argentina should make for a cracking match in the quarters if both teams play to their full potential.

As for Capello, he's for the axe, I reckon. His position is now untenable. But the overpaid pampered primadonnas wearing the shirt have to stand up and be counted as well. Apart from the central defence, Gerrard in particular was shite today. And Rooney might as well have stayed at home for all the good he did (even Heskey played better than him over the 4 games).

Too much money washing about in English football and I think some of the average players believe they are world beaters because they are on 100 grand a week ... this world cup and previous have shown that England just aren't as good as the media make them out to be.

Until a wage cap is introduced and the average players go back to making a very decent living instead of pocketing several million each year then England will continue to struggle. They may also look at introducing a ruling where home grown players get a chance to develop and shine.

Of course none of this will ever happen (they will simply blame the manager for tactically inept) and England will roll up at the next world cup with the media trumpeting how great they are once more.!whistle!

PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?
