Why do they pretend they're into looks then eg the popularity of Redford, Depp, Cruise, Pitt, Beckham et al when all they're really interested in is the man's ability to protect and provide ? They should be upfront about the fact that these items are at the top of their ticklist and that everything else is relatively unimportant but they won't be upfront because they'll appear calculating, venal and unattractive.

Women choose looks over money any day. Unless someone is mega rich and famous like Tiger then of course they would like to be seen with him.
