What do we care

It is top news that the ArchBishop of Canterbury and His Holiness the Pope are getting together. Does the man in the street really care? Does anyone on this forum really care?
All I know is that they are totally unrepresentative of the man they profess
to represent, Jesus Christ. So un-Christlike in they robes and jewellery and I reckon that he would have kicked them both out of the Temple!

I might suddenly turn into a frog for saying this but, the Pope and the Archbishop seem about as believable as professional wrestlers. They put on a show for their fans and say what everyone expects and then they go home and behave just like the rest of us.
I was actually visiting Saint Peter's Basilica in 1995 as a snotty-nosed tourist when Pope John Paul 2 came out and sat in his big chair. It reminded me of Father Christmas at a department store with hundreds of eager kids wanting to ask for toys.

Religion is always a Taboo subject, as you will never ever get people to agree on it. I think its best just been left personal.
I don't believe in organised religion and i don't believe in God. But i was raised a Roman Catholic & the religion is deeply flawed. But even mention that to a Catholic and they would have a fit. They have a deep persecution complex the Catholic's!
Protestant or Church of England believers, seem to be a bit more easy going and have more of a sense of humour as regards religion. But some of them are deeply passionate about their religion and bigoted and a few have extremely Anti-Catholic views!
And then Islam, most believers are good people, who all love and respect their religion, but then you have the Extremists and Fundamentalists whose only cause is to rule with fear & offend people and preach hatred of the West.
And i am sure there are good and bad points about most religions. But with what i have written, there will probably be some people who strongly disagree with what i have written. Others will agree. Some won't care. Or will stick up for one over the other. And that is why it's so Taboo, because people will never agree.
That's why i think your faith should be your faith & should just be kept personal. Not preached!!

Meatus,
If it's taboo then why are you discussing it? You agree then that all religions are divisive?

They are the deceivers . Did you know the u.s.a. is still a british colony ? The mother of babylon ( britain , Olde world ) , babylon ( U.S.A. , New world ) There was no independence from britain . The 4th of juli in the u.s.a. is a diversion . George washington rode in on a white horse with masonic symbols . The white horse is symbolic for new world order . I am not deceiving you because i am a real occulist . They are real satanists but say they are christians .

Yeah i'd agree that all religions are divisive!
i'm discussing it because someone else made the post! The only reason it is Taboo is because there are so many religions, so many believers, with different beilief's who will never agree on anything about all the religions & won't hear a bad word about theirs!
Like i said i'm an Atheist, but i'm not Anti-Religion. And i respect other people's rights to have their belief's & have faith in whichever religion they choose! And it can actually be quite interesting discussing this topic & learning about other religions, but usually what end's up happening is somebody hijacks it for their own belief's or says something that others don't agree with, which doesn't stir a debate but only arguments and accusations! Religion is usually best left alone!!!

Meatus,
Well I am not an atheist myself but agnostic because I don't know if their are supernatural beings or not but anything is possible and I have an open mind.
I believe that no mortal can know the nature of a god, or God, if there is one and all the diverse religions are invented by men to gain power over others often hand in hand with rulers.
