I am being deluged with emails containing apparent demands to change login details at Facebook - suspicious b*st*rd that I am - does anyone know whether these are genuine or "phishing" ? Rock

There have been many reports recently of Facebook phishing and other scams. The most serious example appears to be a fake e-mail with a malicious attachment, according to a report in The Tech Herald.

The e-mail pretends to be from "The Facebook Team" (support@facebook.com) and has a ZIP file attachment. The message claims that the attachment contains the reset password that was changed for your protection. The attachment is, in fact, a Trojan from the Bredolab family.

Facebook will never send such an e-mail to you and any password resets will have to be done by you online. If you see such an e-mail, delete it.

Its on webroots page

I had much the same, the latest being an exe file to run to reset my account. Facebook have said the NEVER email people this way. In fact the clue for me was that the email came to an address I don't connect with Facebook.
