I loved that show at first mainly because of the 'Sharons' firstly Penny Spencer and then Carol Hawkins. Later on I loved it simply because it reminds me of a time that is now gone forever.

BTW, I was shocked that Liz Gebhardt ( Maureen - madly in love with Sir) died of cancer in 1996 and also Malcolm McFee (the smooth ladies man) died in his early 50's also from cancer.

I remember going to the picture house in Dartford to see Please Sir the film
and Peter Denyer was there to open the film, he was born in Dartford.

All the series /film on DVD now i have a few might watch some of S1/2 later

I remember him in "Dear John", that was another good comedy cut short because of the early death of the star Ralph Bates
