Do you remember on the eve of the 1992 American election, when Bill Clinton won, there was a lot made of how he apparently smoked a joint in college - but because he didn't inhale it was ok? Well, David Cameron did a lot of drugs as a youngster but has always refused to talk about it - his reluctance to talk about it, and his refusal to deny it, speaks volumes. George Osbourne was apparently at several parties in his 20's where he was surrounded by people hoovering up cocaine, but it doesn't seem like he did it personally himself. It is a sign of the further liberalisation of our country that these things arent really an issue, it is not preventing the two of them from being viewed as credible politicians, and it wont be a preventer to them becoming the two most powerful people in Britain next year.

It shouldn't be an issue until the double standard of illiberal legislation/ policy emerges which panders to small minds. They shouldn't be defined by something they did 20+ years ago but nor should they demonise others for making the same choices.

It's obvious Camergoon is a 21st Century Rotter.... but who was the Last Great "Working Class" Party Leader?
Brown, Bliar etc are all "Silver Spooners"! Or is going to a school other then Eton some kind of "power to the people" litmus test?

Is it any worse than 'working-class fowk' voting for parachuted-in
upper-m/c careerists like the Millipede brothers, who couldn't find
the Tyne without a dowsing-rod?

People should vote for the policies in which they believe in, regardless of an MP's school/college/uni.
William Gladstone went to Eton which ended with him championing the working class's right to vote.
