Hargreaves has been a real flop at the Cockneys but I do recall Man City paying millions for a player whose name slips me, at least 15 years ago who disappeared off the map as soon as the cheque cleared.

Being injured for most of your time at a club surely doesn't count as flopping?!

wtf supsim96 are you on drugs matey??

whilst I am not a big Charlie Nickerless fan or even for that matter a Celtic Bhoy his record at Arsenal was pretty tasty for somebody playing as more of a supporting striker role (and at a time where Arsenal were pretty much in transition {again}):

Nicholas had hit 50 goals for Celtic the previous season, scooping the Footballer and Young Footballer of the Year awards north of the border.

Two goals against Wolves in his second appearance represented a decent start but Nicholas did not net again until Boxing Day.

A lack of consistency restricted his influence. His goals tally reflects that; Nicholas only just broke double figures in each of his first three seasons at Highbury.

Martin Hayes from midfield had a better goals per game ratio . . . . . . . . .

Joey Barton?
