Does anyone remember Janine Lindemulder, American pornstar, and model? She was described as the most beautiful woman to ever enter porn. Tall, blonde, and a body to die for. Within a few years she looked at least 10 years older than she was, and was heavily tatooed. Her arms covered in very ugly patterns that you would more expect to see on a truck driver or heavy metal rock star than on someone like her. What is it about porn that does this to people? It kind of concerns you that some sweet young starlet may go that way too. I hope, for example, that the lovely Cate Harrington isnt heavily tatooed, several missing teeth, and a facial expression that makes her look about 45, by the time she is 25. Would be sad. I dont think its th eporn that actually fucks people up, though it could play its part in a wider problem.

For one you gotta be a little bit crazy/ daring/ bold to doit in the first place.

Not an easy one to answer without going into loads of paragraphs but i would say drugs play a large part in pushing some people into the abyss of their own sanities.

My usual saying to people is to beware of anythign "dark" within themselves as the porn business will find it and you wil become a victim to it if you are not careful..."dark" could mean drugs, personal motives for doing this business, not being able to differentiate fantasy from reality, unable to seperate sex from love and man more.

Statistically a large portion of the performing comunity fall foul of the darkness and many leave as a result of it.

The mistaken belief that porn is therapeutic ? That it's some kind of route to self actualization ? That seems to be a headfuck for some.

So is there quite a high amount of charlie and H being done onset in British porn? It was always said that was a big thing in American porn in the 1980's - most female stars were coked-up during the sex scenes, I think it was Ginger Lynn who said she was always coked up when getting screwed on camera and she admitted later to 'a really bad heroin problem'. I could name several others from that era who've admitted they were heavily into drugs at the time. So is that something that is quite big on the UK scene now too?
