suitable camera to buy

Thinking of taking some pixs of the wife, you know what I mean! what is cheap to buy perhaps second hand that will get ok results. i have a small house so something that can angle wide in a small place without to much distortion. I do mean cheap though eg ?200 - ?300. Is there anything, digital of course. Ta
