Tony Adams Sacked - Apparently

BBC are reporting that Portsmouth have already sacked Adams and will announce it in the morning
Does seem abit harsh to me, I know his record isn't good but surely he needs more time.
I guess it was always on the cards trying to replace Redknapp, whether he will ever be a good manager I'm not sure but given that they gave him the job surely they have to stick with him?
Curbishley looked abit uncomfortable in the Match Of The Day studio when they announced it!

The Sun have it on their online frontpage tonight and say it has already been announced. Paul Hart as caretaker boss; but a new man for Saturday.
It'll be Curbishley- and good for him; but I feel sorry for Tony, and I never thought I'd say that 10 years ago.

Adams was not up to it.His record suggests the team didn't get it.

Might be Avram Grant as the new boss. Think he was director of football
or something there before he went to Chelsea

I think Portsmouth were definitely on the way down throgh the relegation trapdoor, so it's no surprise that the Portsmouthy board felt they had to act.

I still think Pompey will slip down this year... 13 matches to go and it's exceedingly tight and there has to be 2 others go with West Brom. Things aren't looking good for Middlesbrough or Stoke (now that they have lost Ricardo Fuller for the rest of the season)

I think this is a bit of a shame.
Distin and other players are responsible because of their performances.
To be honest I've seen kids play better on the park on Sundays.
I think Distin in particular has done a big fu to Adams because he didn't get his move and couldn't give a crap if the team go down because he knows he will be away at the end of the season anyway.
The sad thing is their will be clubs willing to snap him up when they guy should be left to rot and sulk in the lower leagues.

In hindsight maybe the crucial result was the 2-2 draw with Milan having gone 2-0 up. To hold on to their lead would have done them a lot of confidence which should have been apparent in their league form. There still seems to be some good spirit in the squad exhibited by goal celebrations against Liverpool.

Would have been interesting to see what would have happened if they had hung on at the weekend. After all after 85 mins they were 2-1 up!
Curbishley is my bet, after all they were tipping him before the Liverpool game. He had to come out on Sky and deny he had already been in talks with them.
