My pet hate, people who say, and write, 'should of' when they mean 'should have'
ie "I didn't paint it when i should of done"
Also hate sloppy journalism when people are talking about some loser country scrounging for a handout, "They are a proud nation", can anyone give an example of a nation the isn't proud? (Uk excluded)

These things can be very annoying, but they can say more about a person's education than the person. And I'd rather have someone express their opinions however they want than be put off by what for them is grammatical pedantry or simple confusion. A bit more care wouldn't go amiss, of course.
Media speak is where the true annoyance lies:
iThis, iThat, iMheartilysickofit.
Someone or something "....in their pomp."
Etail, Digireal and other vile, trendy hybrids.
The football broadcasting standard "At the end of the day," often favoured by Graham "Can I just say," Taylor.
