ANYONE else suffering from this bloody annoying message that appears on your PC when you switch it on?
My Norton defence says everything is OK but this message in a box which appeared at the start of this week has eliminated my screensaver picture and also restricted my option choices on Windows XP.
The messages are:
Warning! Win32/Adware.Virtumonde
Warning! Win32/PrivacyRemover.M64
Anyone know the best way to get rid of this as I'm ready to put my boot through the screen!!! It's driving me nuts!!! !furious!
Cheers!!!

Any message like that googling it gets you an answer
Win32/privacyremover.M64 is a fake threat that appears in popups and desktop warnings by fake antispyware XP-Guard.
?WARNING! Spyware detected on your computer! Install an antivirus or spyware remover to clean your computer.
Warning! Win32/Adware.Virtumonde
Warning! Win32/privacyremover.M64.?
Then you run a free anti-spyware program...spybot,adaware,avg

THANKS very much, mate for the info... that message has suddenly vanished from my PC but I'll be ready just in case it makes a return...
Can't understand these people who send trashy spyware/adware/whateverware just to play hell with someone's PC... !rant!
Sad, really...
