In this video, the star shaped guitar is the guitar I fell in love with as a child, and is the reason I wanted to learn to play. (Which I did, badly)
A couple of years ago, I actually got to play this very guitar, as its owner, still on the club circuit, came to my studio for some promo pics.
brought a tear to my eye, getting to play the very guitar that inspired me to take it up all those years ago.

Personally I think the current media storm with Paul Gadd (which is his name, not Gary Glitter he's not on stage now!) has gone beyond parody - beyond what even Chris Morris could have dreamt up for Brasseye... I mean, we must know we're fucked when we've got ministers issuing statements about making legislation to stop an instantly recognizable burnt out old perv rock star travelling..

The 70?s ? when it was common for dodgy blokes, with porn star moustaches, to ferry about loads of young girls in beaten up old vans, to Jazz Band events. Everyone knew they were pervs, but it was sort of acceptable and nobody did anything to stop it ? which seems strange by current values.
