Just noticed this last night. I hadn't caught the opening to any of the olympic shows, I always seem to start watching in the middle.



Nice to see Monkey, Sandy and Pigsy !grin!

All that's missing is "born from an egg on a mountain top ...... " and a girl pretending to be a boy hee hee

Created by Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn of the very hip and very overrated Gorillaz. They'd previously worked on a Monkey musical I think.

Very multi-cultural, very right-on etc. Yawn.

TV series based on the novel "Journey to the west" or Wu Ch'eng-en if you want to be specific. Its a really cool book.

Possibly one of the best cult tv shows of all time!! In fact, they still run the Monkey conventions in Japan and maybe the USA too.
