I went to amsterdam about 2 years ago for a weekend and had a fantastic time and am planning to go back again within the next month or so.

However, I know the laws and regulations have changed a lot within the last year or so my question to you wonderful people is who has been recently and how has it affected the city? Are mushrooms still available or has the ban made them impossible to obtain?

I have a number of friends who live and work over there, if you stay away from the tourist areas then you can get/do pretty much anything

however, recent smoking bans mean you might not be able to smoke tobacco in public bars ie. coffee shops, which could be an issue if you want to smoke a joint. Not sure if it's come in yet, let me mail a mate and find out, gimme a day or so

yep, it's true, you can only smoke pure weed in the shops now, no tobacco at all - mad eh!

Try taking alcohol into a coffee shop or drugs into a bar, although they may be next to each other in a quiet street - they'll go wild and throw you out.
