How can Bid TV on Freeview make any money ?

They take about 5 minutes of air time selling typically a 100 items for about ?20 each. It wouldnt be sold any cheaper if it was down the local market but Bid TV must have enormous overheads in transmitting a live TV program to sell them which must cost about ?1000 a minute.

Bid tv make a shed load from money from P&P,normally around ?7.99 for the smallest of items and the order phone number is prem rate,?1.50 a minute.

this is off topic... kind of.. but a few years ago there used to be a really hot brunette assistant on bid up tv called jenny harrison from up north somewhere.... i totally forgot about her and the channel until i read this thread... i cant find anything on her.. i think she did some glamour work. has anyone got any pics of her.. hope someone can helo me out. thanks.

I'm afraid that ?1000 a minute is way over the top. TV broadcasting is expensive but not that expensive.

The correct figure for Bid TV is ?49 a minute.

Who remembers that prat on The Apprentice last year?.The one that was tasked to present TV shopping.

He had to demonstrate the use of a mini trampoline and how to assemble it.The legs of the trampoline was positoned in between his legs,if you know what i mean?

It's the most funniest and embarrassing things i've seen on TV for ages !laugh!.
