Thats someones friend, someones daughter, someones relative you are talking about there Alice.
Sure she might have been an embarrassment on stage and an annoyance for her drug habit and the lady certainly has some problems to deal with but its not like she has robbed anyone because of her habit..well not until the money runs out and yeah she is a fuck up I agree but its not nice saying she should od .
Thats hate. Do you know her personally maybe?
Junkies piss me off too but I certainly dont wish they would od.

yes a really bad role model for the younger people i would say.
and sadly there are people who will think that her life is really good.
lock her in a room with a big bag of drugs and tell her to get on with it and tell her nobody cares.

Beeb are reporting that she apparently lashed out at a fan towards the end of her performance. If they were being as sympathetic as AIB, I can understand why.
Yes, she's a junkie. Yes, she's annoying (or rather the newspapers reporting her latest exploits are), but as Terry says she is someone's daughter and all the wish of an early death for her will achieve will be the media going back to hounding Doherty or Moss or finding someone else to demonise.
Chances are this woman will not see her 40th birthday, and that's a tragedy. No matter that it's 99% her fault, it is still a tragedy. Her music may not be to my taste, but she undoubtedly has talent. Her lifestyle may not be to my liking, but what gives me---or anyone else---the right to wish her dead. Don't you think there are others more deserving of ill wishes?

I don't wish her dead or anyone dead- but she appears on the video link via the BBC News website to be indeed very drunk, out of key, dirty, with a hairstyle threatening to fall off and indeed having a punch or two at a punter in the crowd.
Look, I mean she stopped being a serious singer to critique sometime ago. She is now a freakshow- a singing end-of-pier performance. Its like Big Daddy and Keith Moon merged into someone or something that is neither a classic musician or a showman.
Give her a break- she is hype and not substance a la Junkie Doherty and isn't hurting you. She has become a nine-day wonder; and not Billie Holliday or Bessie Smith- so let her be, eh? She may be a saddo- but she isn't hurting you, the silly puerile cow.

I saw about ten minutes of it earlier, Colonel, and she seemed okay at first---rambling a bit. Came back about 20 minutes after that, about the time she was about to head towards the crowd, and the voice had gone and she'd stopped making any kind of sense.
The girl really needs some help, not folk wanting her to die.
I'm not being holier than thou; I've made some nasty suggestions in the past about how to deal with addicts. But that was ignorance speaking.

In a slightly different society, she'd be a good role model - as an example of how a drug habit can fuck up a career in music. Unfortunately there is something exciting and edgy about being a druggie singer. If Hendrix had been a health nut and still alive, he wouldn't have the mystique that the industry has created around him.
I want to cum all over Holly Valance's face (sorry - that just slipped out!)

Winehouse played the 'Jazz World' stage at Glastonbury last year and was a right state then. That may be part of her act,but i can't see her fans putting up with it for much longer.
Michael Eavis just might consider dropping her for future Glastonbury's.
