Spam from someone on here?

Hi, usually chip in over in the Promotions Forum but it's not too apt for this post.
Now, I signed up here with an email account I created especially. I've never given it out to anyone other than here, where it's displayed on my profile.
So I can only come to the conclusion that some twat on here is gathering email addresses, therefore forcing me to endure spam upon spam regarding, sex personals, penis enlargement, and various other shite.
Anyone else have this problem? Like I say, it's got to be someone on here (or someone who simply visits here looking for targets), shit started coming into my emails after only a couple of days...
Wankers

You can't just blame people without proof. And what's the fuss all about?.If you get spam mail, simply don't open it.
There are more important things going on in this world we live in.

It's actually quite easy for an automated email harvester to find every email address posted on these forums, so the likelihood is that it isn't someone on here after all.

As far as I know a lot of spam email generates it's recipients from words and phrases.I know that a lot of spam I get sometimes has very similar names/phrases in the author/contact box which immediatley makes you think it's from a known source.

I wasn't directly saying it was someone from here Mike, I assume you've had a bad day so therefore take your woes out over online text? Bit of politeness wouldn't go amiss...It was merely an enquiry/heads up...

I'm confused... in your first paragraph you said "it's got to be someone on here" and in your second paragraph you say "I wasn't directly saying it was someone from here"
Make your mind up!!!! And while you're at it, read my post above, regarding automated email harvesting... therein lies your answer!
Fucking muppett!!!

Why be such a fucking arsehole Bob?
Read the brackets bit, fucking muppet...(or someone who simply visits here looking for targets)
And they were seperate messages, not paragraphs, again, fucking muppet
And yes, I took what you said into account and thought that was that.
What a fucking bunch of nobs...

You're accusing people on this forum of spamming you and you contradicted yourself in the same post.. that's why Mike was short with you and why I called you a fucking muppet!
If they were separate messages, then post them as two separate messages... what you have done, according to the rules of grammar, is write two paragraphs in the same post... or have you recently re-written the rules of grammar?
If your email is in the public domain (which it is) it WILL be trawled by an automated email harvester. If the spam you are receiving is for penis enlargement, viagra, etc then that's how they got your email address... not someone here logging on and copying and pasting your address into their address book (on the other hand, it could be your ex-girlfriend sending you the emails!!!)

Spam, especially for viagra and penis enlargement is endemic. I get it, my wife gets it at work, the Pope probably gets it.
The morons who post it are highly automated so spam catcher software - much of it promoted through spam (!) - doesn't always work and most ISPs couldn't care less.
So find where your delete button is and join most of the rest of the world in the daily grind of deleting spam.
