Interesting, especially when only 48 hours earlier Kenyon insisted his job was safe.

Maybe lasting 48 hours at Chelsea is considered "safe" :-)

Maybe Kenyon is touching base already with a certain mr frank rijkaard. ten cate and rijkaard worked together at barca and apparently hated each other for the use of a better term. Mnacini and Rijkaard both free men, chelsea must be glad that they will not have to pay any compensation to a club for there services although they propbaly could just about afford it !happy!

Phil Scolari is another one in the frame, but that would take a different turn should Portugal triumph in Austria and Switzerland next month.Plus Scolari is a very 'private' person.Privacy is something he would not get at Chelsea.

I'm still hoping the powers that be at S.B see sense and appoint Mark Hughes.Sadly, sense and Peter Kenyon don't go hand in hand.

"........48 hours earlier Kenyon insisted his job was safe".

I think you mean that 48 hours earlier Ten Cate told a Dutch newspaper that Kenyon had assured him his job was safe.

Not quite the same thing.

It is that dreaded "vote of confidence" that usually heralds the slamming of the exit door ... was no secret that he was a bit too hands on with certain individuals at Chelsea and they being the spoilt little rich kids that they are probably didn't appreciate being told what to do.

If true,it also makes Kenyon out to be the snide, lying tosser that he is.No 'genuine' Chelsea fan likes Kenyon, trust me on this.We simply don't like the way he's running our club.

As a lifelong Chelsea fan,it makes me laugh how Kenyon bigs up Chelsea and how he's out to make us a global brand.

I think he should get domestic things sorted first, before going for world domination.

Kenyon is one of the reasons that many hardcore Chelsea fans have denounced the club they once loved.I know how they feel !sad!.
