This used to be called the friendly derby and indeed I have been to many in the 80's and 90's that were very very passionate, intense but also had that friendly edge to them.

That all seems to have changed in this decade and I'm not really sure why. I know some Liverpool supporters blame the younger Everton fans for it with their attitudes but I haven't heard what the Everton take on it is and obviously there are two sides to every story.

The Liverpool fan that spat at Phil Neville should be banned from Anfield for life, as should the one that punched him in the back.

I've heard all the Liverpool fans saying "but he's a Neville so he deserves it". Er no he doesn't. Now I hate both those little twats with a passion but you can't spit on them or anyone.

As for the Everton chants about they hope Gerrards daughter dies then that's disgraceful.

The blues chants about Hillsborough were sickening too. Many blue noses lost relatives there. They should know better.

Both clubs seem to be blaming each other for this but the truth is both sets of supporters are equally to blame.

The friendly derby? Not anymore.

Think you're fighting a losing battle with the apostrophe in plurals brigade, Mr R.

"Their" seams to be a deal lacking in "they're" education.

It also seems, with the unseemly sight of seam, that this thread has mined a rich seam.

The seam was deliberate----just forgot to put it into inverted colons :-)))

I thought it was only Wazza that was pedantic? After putting your fantasies into little poems on here, and now mimicking him, I'm seeing you in a new light, Mrs RIP.
