Gurkhas

I have nothing but respect and total admiration for these Nepalese warriors. I was lucky enough to serve and work alongside these great men, and even if I didn't do my bit for Queen and Country, would have absolutely nothing but praise for these lads.
It is an absolute disgrace the way they have been treated by this Government considering any Tom, Dick or Harry can waltz into Britain and ponce off the society they have done nothing for except sponge and take any benefit or handout thats going.
It appears Gurkhas are the wrong type of ethnic minority the government want to integrate to make this country more diverse in the fact they are military men, loyal to the Crown........the wrong type for the government as they are loyal to Queen and Country and NOT the fucking European Union.
Considering Harry Hewitt had several with him on his little jaunt to Helmand last month, it would be nice if HE started some serious pressure on the Prime Minister to do the right thing.

I agree entirely, i was sitting with a group of young Gurkhas on a train the other saturday coming out of London they was on their way back to their barracks in Kent, they were well behaved and showed respect to the other passengers which is something you dont see to often on a train these days.

"It is an absolute disgrace the way they have been treated by this Government considering any Tom, Dick or Harry can waltz into Britain and ponce off the society they have done nothing for except sponge and take any benefit or handout thats going."
Now yer talkin', Ace. Yes, the NuLab government and ruling elite of Islington snotty fuckers with their hypocrisy and pretensions of social concern are a set of cunts. They have long been contemptuous of fighting men, and the Army in general, so their distain and ungratefulness towards the Gurkhas should come as no surprise. As you sagely point out, the NuLab government would be much more likely to lavish benefits and handouts on Somalian lesbians and the like (to whom we owe NOTTHING) than brave honorable men who have laid their lives on the line for Britain.
Poor old Harry Hewitt. Yes, it would be nice (great in fact) if he did start a campaign in support of the Gurkhas. But the Royals cannot be seen to be taking political sides - as it would undermine their role as representatives of ALL the British people. And anyway, as we have seen of late, whatever Harry does there is an irrational mob mentality amongst many people that has designated him as a legitimate target for their ire at simply being alive. He'd be dammed whatever he did.
Ace, being an Army man I?m surprised you haven?t had much more to say about the contemptuous and despicable treatment of the Army and it?s personnel by this poncy NuLab government. Never in recent memory has the Army been so grievously under funded and it?s personnel so distained and disrespected. The British Army is now an ill equipped pale shadow of what it was, it?s men fearing court-martial for shooting back and being unkind at those who seek to kill them. Why is it that there?s now never any mention of the army?s victories? Where are the tales of heroism and daring do? Why does the BBC only (gleefully) report the negative stuff? Why are there no victory parades? Why have some military base chiefs told their men not to wear their uniforms off base? Are the NuLabour Islington luvies ashamed of the Army? Do they find military matters unfashionable? Is the Army to them a necessary evil which they have to unenthusiastically maintain for ineffectual (but fashionable with luvies)?UN Peacekeeping Missions?? But most of all, is the Army an awkward affront to their snotty, pretentious, ungrateful, socialist posturing?

This is utterly shameful. The problem is, unlike thousands of 'economic migrants' who are allowed in, the Gurkhas aren't here to drain the NHS or take advanatge of the welfare state, that?s why the government want them out. !hmmm!
