does anyone here use second life or know anything (useful) about it?

I need some simple advise on it if someone is able and willing to help.

Yeah, watch out for a guy with a huge cock and a sign mentioning free hugs, don`t buy a club next to a brothel populated by "schoolgirls" and intraweb cyberrape is serious business

I gave it a try after seeing a feature about it on The Money Programme (don't ask), but found it rather infuriating and more than a little cliquey.

The fact that people are making money out of selling cyber properties is quite bizarre.

Anyhoo, wiped it from my system.

PS---One of the first things I found in there was a huge poster for Madeleine McCann, so it can be a useful tool in international searches.

The pennies dropped

I saw a program on this that was truly bizarre

The players to get ahead pay/hire people to play their character
while their working in the real world

Not sure what the real point of the game is if your universe is made by someone elses ability on the back of your money

There's an appeal to the idea of a virtual world---the trouble is, when people create one, they just drag a lot of the everyday shit in there with them.

True but i don't understand the appeal if your not playing the game
Just dug this article up from a guy who's been playing it since 2004

Surely if you have a finite number of hours for entertainment you do something that is hands on

We all like to escape, thats a given but letting someone else do the donkey work so you can enjoy the riches seems very typical of something oonly a narcissist could enjoy

I agree the stupidity that is spending money on nothing really makes the mind boggle

To some people, the important thing is achieving something---even off someone else's efforts. In this, second life is no different to first life.
