But the REDS are on top. With a team bought for about 50p. I must admit. I never thought we would be even challenging the top spot this season.

I still believe we need a couple of big signings for strength in Europe. But today I am a smug little Gooner.

Should be two weeks

I was at the game and to be fair you were extremely flattered by both the result and the scoreline. I think you'll struggle to hold onto a top four spot unless you sign a top-drawer striker and a decent 'keeper in January.

That said, Fabregas is an ubelievable player, and a real leader, and your first choice back four is excellent. Wenger remains the best stragetist in the Prem, and I think with the right additional signings you could challenge for top three. But will you splash the cash? The squad is pretty thin in terms of depth for a Champs' League participant. I suspect come the end of the season you'll be bobbing about in fifth as those repayments will force you to keep your hand in your pocket.

Happy to sell you Defoe for ?15 million.

Arsenal are playing fantastic, and at last are getting an end product.

One big worry though.....If Febregas gets injured for any length of time, I can see a big slide coming from Arsenal.

Arsenal is rolling in money.

I know it's par for the course for people to think that with the stadium debt and lack of spending, plus a David Cunting Dein inspired press campaign that reckons we need the Russian (or the Yank) to pump money in, that the club is skint, but they ain't.

They are the second richest club in terms of turnover and the financial figures are excellent.
