Hey y'all!!

Been meaning to post this for a little while,so seeing as tonight for once im not to tired to actually post some thing. I thought I would seaze (?) the bull by the watsits and see what the general opinion on this is.

At the ripe old age of 29 I fully appreciate I am no longer part of the "key demographic" that Radio One is aiming for. Even so,this is just me being an old cunt. The station is pure shite by any standards!!

I only really get the chance to listen to it on the drive home (could lsten to it in the morning but would rather stick hot needles in my ear than listen to that fat cunt on the breakfast show) So I only really get to listen to Scott Mills. Now it has to be said that Mills is probably one of the finest radio personalitys working today (imho) but his show is just un bareable,due to the music he is playing.

JK and Joel are just fucking annoying cunts!! As well as playing shite!! Then there is Sarah "waffle,waffle,horsey,my little girl said waffle" Cox and worst of all that northern fucking monkey Vernon Kaye. The only good thing that can be said about these wankers rabbiting on is that they are not playing music!!

Or is it just me.....is it actually a fantastic station with sharp witty and entertaining presenters?

Its been shit for years. Radio 2 is the new Radio 1

I stopped listening about 4 years ago,they started to bring tv presenters on the shows to replace proper dj's like mark and lard and its more about celebs than music for todays yoof!.

As a Saturday early evening family show host Vernon Kaye is (as much as this pains me) as good as it gets. Certainly a worthy succesor for the mighty Bruce Forsythe. And as far as CBBC goes Fern watsit and that Ottis thing are second to none. But the have no place on Radio One.

Its just a case of using big names in other fields to draw in listeners from other age groups

At the ripe old age of 39 I feel TOTALLY out of touch with chart music! I looked at the Top 40 last Sunday night and realised I wouldn't recognise one single tune.

Last album I bought is The Editors new one, superb.

For my music I listen to digital via SKY, 0110, 0161, 182, 0183, 0201, 0203. Classic Rock stations or Virgin, which plays a much wider variety of of stuff than Radio 1. Metallica to Steely Dan, Motorhead to ELP, Oasis to Led Zep, Yardbirds to Scorpions plus Bowie, Allman Brothers, Satriani, The Tull...all great music played by virtuosos, not MC Wankflaps feat DJ Colonboy!

Rick's Place, on Classic Rock, hosted by Rick Wakeman is seriously funny, with some of the worst jokes ever. This station has won Sony awards and is now attracting a large amount of blue chip advertising.

Of the current Radio DJs I can listen to Jo Whiley, plus she is a top MILF. The rest are cack. Sara Cox has to be the most irritating DJ ever, she makes Chris Moyles seem palatable.
