Ricky Hatton's chances against 'Pretty Boy.'

The bookies (who don't normally get it wrong) will favour Mayweather, who's a slippery, quick and spiteful puncher.
But I've got a hunch that a pumped up Hatton can do a number on him, possibly winning by stoppage late on, provided he can avoid getting cut around his scarred eyebrows..
Hope he can then 'get it on' with the dreadfully dull but awkward (ain't all Ingle fighters?) Junior Witter back in old blighty before hanging up his gloves, his legendary status intact.

unfortunately i agree with the bookies.as much as i like ricky,''prettyboy'' will do what he did against de la hoya and dance around for 12 rounds. As he wouldnt dare stand and trade with ricky

ricky's rib benders will slow him down by the later rounds whether he wants to trade or not.
i really think his implaccable will to win will see him through to a memorable and historic victory.
MARK MY WORDS!!!

Mayweather for me. Just because Ricky's going up to Mayweathers weight class rather than Mayweather coming down.

Still, I think Ricky will pressurise more than De La Hoya did, and not tire as quickly.

Mayweather on points says me, but I hope I'm wrong.

I'd love Hatton to win to shut Mayweather up who shows no respect for his opponents. However as the saying goes "speed kills" he'll probably be too quick and too good for Hatton and win on points.

It's one of the oldest syaings in boxing that styles make fights and Hatton's style is absolutely perfect for Mayweather who will box on the outside and pick him off and either stop Hatton late on or win comfortably on points.

It's the bull and the matador and the matador will unfortunately prevail.

Credit to Hatton for taking the fight although if I were Hatton's manager I might have looked to take this fight in 12-18 months time.

I don't agree. Hatton smothers faster opponents, he doesn't charge in.

Hatton will cut off the ring, and try and tie up Mayweather, getting punches in on the inside and the break. Something the Americans hate, but it's effective against a faster fighter like Mayweather.

I still predict a Mayweather win on points, but Hatton's style is no way 'perfect' for Mayweather. It's not Hatton that has to change his style, it's Mayweather that has to work out how to stop being tied up on the inside, where Hatton is strongest.

All this talk hey folks, and we are still 4 months from the fight. Yes i tend to agree with whats been said, i think mayweather will win possibly on points or an 8th round KO. I do hope so or im paying 70 notes out. Come on the Floyd.

Well we'll have to agree to disagree.

It doesn't matter if Hatton rushes in or tries to smother because Mayweather will use his great foot and hand speed to pick him off and I can't see Hatton getting close enough to Mayweather often enough.

Hatton's style is absolutely perfect for Mayweather.

I'd love Hatton to win but I just can't see it.

I agree that Mayweather will be a little too slick for Hatton, I just don't think Hattons style is tailor made for Mayweather, that's all.

I think if Mayweather had dropped to Hatton's natural weight, it'd be a different story.

Moving up will make Hatton sluggish, like last time.
