Hey
Not sure if any one is interested but have been following the progress of this project since it started and it looks like they have done it!! Never seen one of these in the air but really hope to catch this one some day.
I think every one who has been involved has done a wonderfull job, especially after the lottery shit on them the way it did (imho) Oh check out the restoration video. Gives you some idea of how much work has actually gone into this. Its simply mind blowing!!
Cheers

I think they used one of these jets to test the Concorde engines at high altitude.
I'll always remember them bombing the runway at Port Stanley

Most incredible memory of the Vulcan is it pulling steeply up on it's last display at Biggin Hill.
When I worked at an airport many years ago we all left the hanger to look up at a con trailing vulcan... flying totally across all the normal airways, so we assumed it was above the commercial airway height.... or just in a hurry to get to the Falklands.

If it does fly again, do try and get to see it the sheer size and power of one of these aircraft has to be seen to be believed.
I have seen them a number of times at airshows and they were always crowd favorites next to the Red Arrows.
A remarkable piece of engineering considering it first flew in 1952.

The video... like watching something from the last century.... wait it was!!!
Anyhow the steep climb out after take off was what I was saw when it pulled up at Biggin the only difference was it did a really steep bank as if it was going to roll but didn't.... still was really exciting. I put the Vulcan on a par with Concorde.... another memory sadly.

The thing i always remember about the vulcan was when it took off, the noise and then the ground shaking beneath your feet.
