Don't blame that on the rappers. The police, the military, the mob what have you ALL have simular unwritten laws concerning snitching. The good police know who the rogue police are and won't tell on them. Look at just what happened concerning the Tillmen friendly fire shooting in the armed services here in the U.S. And look at various cop shows and mob shows and it's also there so the rappers ain't got nothin' to do with it. Black people and the black youth in particular don't really trust the police first, because they're known to harrass black people. Second, if you know where the drug house is, say it is across the street and you're the one who called about it, for some strange reason the police know who called and the police will let the drug dealers know who called and third, if the drug dealers know who called, your life and your family's life is on the line.

Back in the 50's I lived in London for a year lodging with a family from the East End. I got the impression that although they wouldn't be in agreement with that twat's "ethics" their last approach would be the police.
Doesn't this attitude still permeate some parts of "Eastenders" ....getting it sorted out with the help of some dodgy acquaintances?
