And very many happy returns to the old war horse!! So many great memorys of my speccy. I was all ways a huge code masters fan. So many hours spent playing the "Dizzy" series of games!! Or "Rock star ate my hamster"
I for one will be lifting a glass to mark this memorable occasion tonight
Cheers

I had the 128k (flash bastard!!!) and I loved it, even made my own adventure games.
Consoles these days lack the character of the older computers, I can't believe the variety of games I used to have for my speccy that simply isn't available these days, none of your endless sequels to average beat em ups or driving games.
My favourite games for the speccy are (in no particular order)...
Rockstar Ate My Hamster
Turbo Esprit
Emlyn Hughes International Soccer
Saboteur
Treasure Island Dizzy
Hypersports
Jack The Nipper
Monty On The Run
Great times.

Saboteur was ace!! Can remember at the end you made good your escape on a motorbike. Seem like cutting edge stuff at the time. I had forgotten about the Monty games. They were pure class....but fecking hard!!
The game that I think I spent the most amount of time on has got to be Microprose "Silent Service" Been looking for that game for the PC for ages, but dont think its available to run on XP. Shame!!
Oh and "Ace of Aces" would love to get my hands on a copy of that
Ahhhhhhh

I hear you on that one Muswell!! Please I beg of you dont bin it!! Its day shall come again. You could do what me and some mates do. About once every six months we pool all our various old formats stock up on food, booze and any thing else that takes our fancy and have "Retro games night"
Its sad and what ever women we happen to be with at the time call us losers, but by God its fun!!
All ways a pleasure Muswell
