In the Guardian?

Post by andy at handiwork »

Interesting to see an ad in yesterday's Guardian colour supplement for a stripping housewives site run I think by a regular poster to this forum. How's that for the widening appeal and acceptence of porn?

Andy,
The word "porn" is used bymost of the British media in a perjorative sense to mean works that have no artistic merit.

Mike Freeman.

I would not put money on that. I think you underestimate how uptight the British middle class can be - I would presume ignorance rather than hypocrisy. And anyway, before the days of the WWW and the changes in censorship regulations at the BBFC in 2000 it was not all that easy to get hold of porn in the UK.
