Cannabis.....

Hey all!!

Been wondering about this one for a while.....

Well I have never really got into "drugs" that much if im honest. But due to the life I lead and the scenes I was involved with, illigal substances have all ways been close to hand. As a result I have tried pretty much every thing once. So I have a fairly good working knowledge of drug culture and its affects.

So I was all ways pro cannabis. Well pro is a very strong word, more "What ever floats your boat" and up untill two years ago would have a joint now and again. Even used to have a little stash for when there was a good film on. But over the last six months I have found that im growing increasingly "anti cannabis" to the point where I have stopped seeing some of my oldest friends. I find the more they smoke the stranger they seem to get as the years go by. There houses seem to be filled with wankers either buying or dealing. And there entire life seems to revolve around getting there next ounce and how strong or fresh it is.

It just seems to me the more I stand out side all of this, the more I can see that Cannabis is as addictive as any of the more frowned upon drugs and almost as damaging. OIr am i just getting old? Where does the forum stand on this one?

Hope this finds you well and stoned, pissed or snorting cocaine out of chorus girs bottoms.....what ever floats ya boat!!

As someone who has the dubious honour of working with drug users and other assorted bottom feeding scumbags I have no problem in agreeing with your sentiments.

The problem is that the acceptable face of pro cannabis advocates are on the whole liberal professionals who fondly remember their days as students while they smoked some weed so it dont do any harm they say.

I believe the guardian newspaper has done some backtracking after it campaigned for it to be reclassified.

The problem is that the modern strains of industrial produced skunk etc.. is insanely stronger than the "good old days" with more chemiclas in it than you can shake a stick.

what annoys me most is the benign image thats presented of the drug and those who profit from it of course the local puff dealer wouldnt get shirty or violent when they cant pay the tab and of course he isnt hurting anyone by selling it is he unlike that nasty crack dealer down the road.

Its helped to create the strata of scum we now have.

Alcohol has all ways been legal and the UK still has one of the highest rates of alcohilism and alcohol related deaths in the world!!! I really dont see that the legality of your chosen poison has any thing to do with its addictivnes availibilty or effects....but hey whadda I know?

Wayne.....thankyou!!

Thats the conclusion I have come to!! The differance between the grass smnoked in the past and the stuff on sale now is incredable!! The old argument was all ways "How could some thing natural be bad?"

But skunk and the other types of weed on offer now are not natural. They are fussed and grown with all manner of shite. You really have hit the nail on the head chap!!

Well done

Hmmmm again booze is leagal and the goverment and NHS claim they cant afford the effects it is having on the country. God knows they are claiming enough tax on that. And what drug causes more havoc than booze? None!!
