Any advice appreciated chaps,
I have a file downloaded from Limewire that I cannot delete. If I right click I get I get Play, Open With..., Add to Playlist, Add to Synch list and Send To.
Tried scanning with AVG, Ad Aware and even deleting the folder but stuck!
Bearing in mind I'm more simple than a two piece puzzle - help please!

Right click on the file, select Properties and select the General tab.
At the bottom of the window is a "Read only" button, is this selected ?
If so deselect it, then save changes
Try again to delete it.

There is no Properties tab
Only the tabs I listed. It's a real pain. I even tried downloading MS Inuse which deletes on the next boot but because this file won't allow anything else on a right click I'm a bit screwed!

ReStart your computer in safe mode, (press F8 on reboot) select safe mode only, then try and delete, oh and turn system restore off first.

Go to start menu-help and support- under 'pick a task' chose 'undo changes with system restore' then use the option to turn it off. The reason is if you dont once you have sorted your problem out you dont want it coming back on a furure restore, you will lose all restore points but thats ok.
Then when you have cleared the problem, restart your comp and turn it on again then make a new restore point. the file is probably embedded in another so run AVG after you have deleted it, Dont forget you will need to use SAFE mode to get rid of it, or it will return to haunt you...
