The racist bullying by Jade, Jo and Danielle helped turn a probable victory into a certainty.

I have to say that now it's ended, Shilpa has won and Danielle has apologised for what she said, I hope that Danielle won't be ostracised.
I didn't watch much of it but I certainly got the impression that, after Jade went, Danielle got on well with Shilpa and I though she came over as a bubbly, rather fun girl. She's got a great smile along with her other attributes.
Danielle is obviously 1) very good looking, 2) a young 23 and 3) even her Mum would agree she will never be Brain of Britain - I hope we haven't seen the last of her.

I never watched it either, but going on what i've heard on the radio tonight i would say yes it was fixed.
I actually enjoyed it last year with mad George Galloway and Micheal Barrymore self destructing on live telly, but i switched off this year as soon as the Goody family went in.

I dont think it was fixed and watching the interview Shilpa did on the News afterwards, she was nicer to everyone than I would have been if I had gone through what she had. I thought that interview showed exactly why she won, she is a real nice person, and intelligent. And unlike Jade, Danielle and the like, an actual celebrity who is still successful. Jade, Danielle have never been celebs and the others used to be. Shillpa still is and hugely popular.

Shelpa Shitty was probably selected as the winner before the thing even began.
Now, I must confess to not having watched a single second of the programme, but it is clear from the reports that the participants were carefully selected to ensure confrontation. It also seems clear that what was actually broadcast was both cleverly edited, and taken out of context, for maximum effect.
As to the verbal fights themselves - well, of course racial slurs and other offensive epithets will be used. That is what they are for.
What on earth would be the point of an insult that was not offensive?
It would be about as much use as a knife in a gunfight. No, if one wishes to offend someone in an argument of this sort - as is right and proper - one should have no hesitation in using greatly offensive language (Mayor Livingstone has a good, healthy understanding of this).
This has nothing whatsoever to do with 'being a racist', ie using such language in cold blood, not in the context of an argument and not directed at any specific person with whom one is in confrontation.
'Reality TV'? - how typical of the public that when they finally see a bit of reality, they can't handle it and rush to the telephone to complain. It's the same with snow, rain or hot weather; how much they are longed for, by so many, each year - until they actually arrive of course.

If the crowd reaction was anything to go by the wrong person won. And not sure where big brother went to school but out of the final three apparently shilpa got 67% jermaine got 37% and dirk got 16% of the vote. Go figure.
