Why didn't this prick stick to his proper job, fronting The Velvet Underground, playing turgid, self-indulgent twaddle to thousands of spaced-out adoring luvvies, instead of playing turgid, Conference league twaddle to thousands of non-plussed, miffed Sarf London football fans???!!!

I actually thought we played some good stuff at the Valley under Dowie, without getting the breaks we deserved.
But we're surely doomed with Lester at the helm.
And the next person who tells me we should've fought to keep Anal Curbishley will get a slap.
We played some of the most wretched football I've ever seen in the last 2 years he mismanaged us......

I understand Our Les negotiated a new, improved contract last week, tying him to the Addicks 'til 2009.
After Saturday's abject performance, described on MOTD by Alan Hansen as 'possibly the worst ever seen in The Premiership', The Charlton board in their wisdom have probably extended that to 2012, by which time we'll be mid-table Conference League. THE TWATS.
