England & Scotland should split !

Reading the paper this morning in Geneva I noticed a an intersting a piece of info.......

The main point was the dividing of the union in the "united kingdom" and the bit that was really intersting was.....

82% of tax raised comes from England, if England was to split away from the brave hearts English income tax could be reduced by 4 p in the pound, whilst in scotland the cost would rise bt 2/3p in the pound..... Also council tax in scotland would have to rise along with the scottish parliament increasing vat to 19%

Their kids will also have to have student loans etc. etc. etc.... just as english kids have to...

All I can say is thats what the Scottish want....lets do it..... off they go............

Over the past 30 years, the UK government has taken ?200 billion in tax from North Sea Oil. Around 90% of the UK?s oil revenues come from the Scottish sector of the Continental Shelf. If it?s not Scotland?s oil, then whose is it?

As much as half of the oil is still to come out of the North Sea. The amount of oil left in the North Sea has been estimated at anywhere between 28 billion and 43.8 billion barrels. This could generate as much as ?1 trillion of revenue. But even the most conservative estimate of ?545 billion would be worth Scottish health spending for 83 years or total Scottish Executive spending for almost 23 years. It is an asset equivalent to ?109,000 a head for every person in Scotland.

If it wasn't for Scotlands resources England would just be a small diddy nation.
Face facts, Everyone knows Scotland is the main power in the Uk !laugh!

i thought the oil was running out in the north sea,were importing it from norway now,anyway what about the english bailing scotland out 300years ago when you were skint from a little expedition to central america to set up a colony and it failed.england population 50million-scotland 5million and decreasing,taxes would have to go up a lot to make up the difference.
