irecall the greg lake one being played by the bbc the xmas it was out 1975?76? in the background of xmas viewing on the bbc for trailers.

Sorry, but just like there are no football songs before or since World In Motion, Fairytale Of New York is THE Christmas song. Blackly humorous, bittersweet, and yet still Christmassy.
I'd forgotten all about The Goodies' song! Cheers.
