ECW (Another wrestling post for everyone)

This one's for all you Sports Entertainment fans.
Just watching ECW on Sky and am I the only person who thinks they're slowing turning ECW into a slightly tougher version of WWE?
The venues are getting larger, a large space has been cleared for the Wrestlers entrance (now centrally located).
All in, it's starting to look more glitzy and polished.
Comments welcome.

Yup but we all knew this would be coming the minute the ECW was revived by McMahon. I mean Jesus christ did anyone think McMahon would know how to handle ECW? Shit he doesn`t even know how to handle WWE anymore

True. I thought the same thing myself when they started with the return. It was always going to evolve into a third WWE staple.
Bit of a shame though. The first "One Night Stand" was good and gave them a good starting poing, just a shame they've went downhill with it.

They should have just ended this whole ECW revival thing at One Night Stand 1. That was a perfect way to end a legacy. Now ECW feels like a glorified Shotgun Saturday Night with featuring a few ECW workers.
It's still better than Raw though. Raw is just a comedy show (and not even a funny one) and I can't get into Smackdown at all, even though it has the better wrestling on the show.
Maybe I just hate wrestling these days.
TNA iMPACT has turned into a joke too. I watched the Primetime Debut yesterday and it was more funnier than anything on Raw (unintentionally, sadly). I mean, who on earth stops someone choking your friend with a standing Shooting Star Press?

I sort of agree with you about RAW, they do need a new gimmick. Some of it's just tragic, unfortuneatly the same thing can be said about Smackdown.
King Booker, that's just taking things way to far. That and a grown man eating worrms.
The scary Boogeyman thing might have worked if it wasn't for the worms.
Haven't been able to get into TNA myself. Always on at awkward times for me. The little I have seen has usually been old WWE & WCW stars trying to keep in the business.
On a side note. Totally agree with your signature. Keane really do suck big time. !happy!

Probably true about the old WWE and WCW stars to a certain point except it gives the wrestlers who were being overlooked and treated as jobbers in WWE a chance to shine. I think the reasoning behind all the old school faces in TNA is due to trying to get the fans from the old days watching through nostalgia in order for their main talent to get noticed, guys such as AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, Sabin, Petey Williams(best finisher in the business), Senshi(Low Ki), LAX and others.
I personally think that TNA easily has some of the most talented roster between the two groups, especially since Vince keeps rushing guys in from OVW who aren't ready for the big time ie Chris Masters as well as pushing talentless idiots like Umaga and Khali. Most WWE matches these days comprise of the most boring action I have seen in a long time, punch, kick, body slam, appeal to the fans and then the finisher all in the space of 10-15min at least TNA matches are exciting to watch as well as unpredictable in terms of not being able to predict the outcome of every single match before it even starts(WWE). Did anyone catch Bound For Glory? An Awesome PPV and compare that to Cyber Sunday which was terrible(with exception to the entertaining match between DX and Edge and Orton).
WWE has really lost its way big time and Vince seems to be losing his marbles, many are reporting his odd behavior backstage and Vince actually admits to wanting to run an incest storyline with Stephanie and say that her new born was his, thank fuck she declined because that on top past storylines such as Necrophilia, Mae Young a 70+ woman giving birth to a hand, Litas miscarriage, the exploitation of Eddie Guerrero's death (still going on a year later) and now Kevin fucking Federline(all 95lbs of him) that would have probably ended it for me.
Another thing thing that irratates me about WWE is the constant racial stereotyping, such as Chryme Tyme, two black guys acting like street hoods and stealing everything in site which was a rip off of another stereo type Los Guerreros(which only stars like Eddie and Chavo could have made that work for them), Mexican guys coming out on lawnmowers, Shelton Benjamins 'Moma', Finlay an Irish man coming out with a leprechaun, Scots men acting like cavemen and theres probably more that I can't think of.
I've been watching wrestling and WWE since 1987 and this has to be one of the worst periods for WWE I have seen in a long time, TNA will rise quickly if Vince isn't careful maybe not now but it will in a few years, it reminds me of the old WCW in some ways. Vince is also having his arse kicked in the ratings against UFC PPV's as far as buy rates are concerned.
With exception to CM Punk ECW is bloody awful, Big Slow as ECW champ? It bears no resemblence to the old ECW at all, I really think they need to merge Smackdown and Raw not create another faction.
Thats my rant over with lol!!
PS TNA is on tomorrow at 6pm on TWC !wink!
